The Cities Centre at the University of Toronto in collaboration with a large number of groups and individuals in city planning, architecture, design and related fields will release an open letter to City Councillors to urge rejection of the proposal supported by the Mayor regarding the Port Lands.

Present will be the principal authors of the letter, including Paul Bedford (former Chief Planner for Toronto), Richard Florida (Martin Prosperity Institute), and Richard Sommer (Dean, U. of T. Faculty of Architecture), along with several of the over 150 urban professionals who have signed it.

The document and list of signatories is being finalized today and will be sent to those who receive this release tomorrow morning.
